🚚 Shipping & Delivery
When will my order ship?
Orders ship within 2–5 business days. You'll receive a tracking number as soon as your package is on the way.
Do you ship internationally?
Currently, we ship within the United States only (except Hawaii).
What shipping carriers do you use?
We ship using USPS or UPS, depending on your location and package size.
Do you ship in cold or hot weather?
We monitor weather conditions carefully. If extreme temperatures could impact your plant's health, we may delay shipping slightly and notify you.
Do you offer local pickup or delivery?
Not yet! But we’re hoping to offer this in the future—stay tuned by subscribing to our newsletter or following us on social media.
🌱 About Your Plant
What will I receive with my order?
You’ll receive a healthy, rooted starter plant in soil, shipped without a pot. Each plant is carefully packaged to ensure it arrives in great shape.
Will my plant look exactly like the photo?
Not exactly—plants are living things and naturally vary in size, shape, and color. Photos represent a typical example, but each plant is unique.
Do you include care instructions?
Yes! We include a printed care sheet with every order. You can also find downloadable versions on our Plant Care page.
💧 Plant Care Basics
What kind of soil should I use?
It depends on the plant! Most of our plants prefer a well-draining mix, often with peat, perlite, and bark. Check the care sheet specific to your plant for recommendations.
How much light does my plant need?
Most of our plants prefer bright, indirect light, but requirements vary. Always check the individual care guide for light, water, and humidity needs.
Do I need to repot right away?
No rush—your plant arrives in soil and can stay in that medium temporarily. When you're ready, transfer it to a well-draining pot with fresh soil.
How do I know if my plant is healthy?
A healthy plant will show signs of new growth, firm leaves, and a stable root system. Slight drooping or stress from shipping is normal and should improve with proper care.
🛒 Orders, Returns & Support
Can I cancel my order?
Orders can be canceled within 12 hours of purchase. After that, we begin processing and can't guarantee cancellation.
Do you accept returns?
We do not accept returns on live plants. However, if something arrives damaged or incorrect, please contact us—we’re here to help!
What if my plant arrives damaged?
Email us at byrdandroot@gmail.com within 48 hours of delivery. Include photos of the plant and packaging so we can resolve the issue quickly.
My tracking says delivered, but I didn’t receive it—what now?
Double-check your delivery location, mailbox, or with neighbors. If it’s still missing, contact your carrier. We’re happy to help if further assistance is needed.
